I have low good cholesterol and slightly high bad cholesterol but i work out and eat well. (i very rarely eat junk food). is it genetic perhaps?

Low HDL Why?: When you have low HDl it is a metabolic disorder. Genetics do play a role is very low "good" cholesterol like in the single digits. It usually indicates a lot of your meals is stimulating insulin and creating more sugar. example whole grains, or oatmeal. try increasing plant based diet and removing the animal protein down by 1/3 . So every meals need not have animal protein.
