Yes: Enterobacter aerogenes is a bacteria that can cause a variety of infections such as urinary tract infections, sepsis, pneumonia, skin/wound infections. It typically does not occur in people who are otherwise healthy. It can be picked up by patients who are hospitalized, particularly in an intensive care unit. It can be picked up from contaminated surfaces. Antibiotic resistance can be a problem.

Unlikely: This gram-negative bacillus is a normal inhabitant of the colon and will not created illness generally even if there is contact with feces. If, however, someone is immune deficient that may become a problem.
