Enterobacter: Chronobacter is the new genus name for this gram-negative bacillus. It can cause a wide variety of infections in adults. In infants it can cause bacteraemia, meningitis and necrotising enterocolitis. Some neonatal cronobacter (e. Sakazakii) infections have been associated with the use of powdered infant formula.
