Nothing: Pencil lead is graphite - a form of carbon just like coal and burns easily. A small amount in a mechanical pencil cannot create enough carbon monoxide to cause any lasting damage. There is no lead in a lead pencil! you should have a carbon monoxide monitor in your home for safety's sake anyway, though.
