How many types of kidney cancer are there? male, age 55, just removed a tumor in the brain does this mean stage 4?

Several: Renal cell, chromophobe, papillary, etc. However, if kidney cancer in the brain, than yes it is stage 4 or metastatic. Hope this helps.

Kidney ca in brain: If brain mass is kidney ca then it is stage 4.
