Think happy thoughts: Worrying is the opposite of what will help you live long and be healthy. There are numerous things but the most effective are, eat a whole food, organic diet. Limit red meat intake. Eat wild fish and be sure they are not from regions with radiation or species known to have contamination with heavy metals or PCBs. Don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, don't use drugs, meditate, exercise, get outdoors.

Becoming an adult: Part of growing up is accepting uncertainty. You can greatly decrease your risk of dying of cancer by avoiding tobacco. Occasional colonoscopy when indicated is also helpful, and reporting any lumps / bumps quickly to your physician. Don't abuse alcohol or drugs. This being said, there's no guarantee how long you'll live and you don't have full control. Live richly and cherish whatever you get.
