IBS: I usually recommend high fiber diet as first step if it is tolerable. I also recommend to avoid patient specific irritants like lactose, chocolate, caffeine etc.

Several: Regular consistent meal times and quantities of food, plenty of fluids and a good high fiber diet. You are retraining your bowel. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
