Recomended treatment for ibs when diet change doesn't help. already on buprophin and don't like the bentyl (dicyclomine) but i have pain daily. all tests normal.

IBS: Ibs can present in 3 forms, diarrhea, constipation, or mixed picture. If you have constipation, there are 2 agents you could try: Amitiza (lubiprostone) or linzess. You can continue bentyl. Having ibs, you have to work closely with your GI or pcp to determine what works. Bupropion can help to decrease some of your symptoms. However, normally, i would use Amitriptyline low dose. Suggest to see your gi.
