See a doctor.: Hurting below the ribs could indicate many things, but i worry about a swollen liver or spleen--since fever is now present, too. Mono would require a physical exam and a lab test to diagnose. Hepatitis or gallbladder problems may require an evaluation as well. It would be in your daughter's best interest to have this evaluated by her pediatrician or family doctor--for peace of mind if nothing else.
