Gut virus: A toddler is expected to have ~2-3 diarrhea producing illnesses/yr generally caused by enteroviruses (gut virus) that are passed around the age group. Most adults are immune from childhood. Attendance at day care and nurseries increases spread. Most will self heal if they can remain hydrated. Applesauce, bananas and breads can help them stop.
