You can't: Botox is a neurotoxin that paralizes the muscle for 3 months. It is unlikely you can reduce the effects of Botox on your own. Symptoms should resolve after 3 months.

Botox Side Effects: Avoid blood thinners prior to treatment. Consider arnica montana if you tend to bruise easily. Ice the treatment area for a few minutes prior to reduce the chance of bruising and any discomfort. Avoid massaging the treated area for 2 days and consider avoiding significant cardiovascular activities for 24 hours. If you are experiencing any side effects (which would be rare) return to your provider.

Botox side effects: What side effects? Red bumps go away quickly (hours to a day) bruising is rare. Drooping of eyebrows and eyelids are technique related so see an expert. Symptoms of nausea, headache, aches, etc when studied for the fda trials existed in patients getting placebo (sham treatment) as well as the Botox treated pateitns. See a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who has a lot of experience.

Rare: True side effects of Botox are rare. Bruising is likely the most common problem, and avoiding anything that would thin your blood is the best way to minimize this risk. Definitely seek someone with much experience injecting Botox as well.

Side effects: The most common side effect of Botox is bruising. This can be minimized by avoiding medicines that thin the blood like Aspirin and advil (ibuprofen). Avoiding activity that increases your blood pressure and exposes you to heat for about 24 hours will also reduce the chance of bruising. Cool packs after injection will decrease discomfort.

Rare problems: Fortunately side effects from Botox are quite rare when it is used appropriately by experienced providers. In the face this might include temporary drooping of the eyelid or brow. You should not vigorously rub the injection sites right after treatment. Your best way to reduce side effects is to see a well-trained and experienced provider!
