3 to 4 months: Botox is a purified neurotoxin that temporarily paralyses muscles so they can't contract. When this happens the wrinkles overlying the muscles relax. Side effects are rare but can include eyelid or brow drooping.

Botox side effects: Side effects of Botox are related to the site of injection. They are generally mild and do not last long. The effects from Botox will last three to six months.
