Many causes: Osteomalacia is soften of bones secondary to decreased bone matrix and precursor cartilage.Many causes include vitamin d deficiency, reduced exposure to sunlight, kidney failure, inherited tubular defects in kidneys, diseases in chlldren include cystic fibrosis, osteogenesis imperfecta, nutritional rickets etc. Osteoporosis is lack of mineralization which comes with older age.Lack of exercise, etc.
