Sleep testing: Loud snoring can be a sign for sleep apnea. This can be a life threating and a life shortening condition. Sleep testing has become more convienent with take home units that record all the information needed for a sleep specialist to diagnose the exact problem. Dentists can be involved by providing oral appliances to a mild or moderate osa as recommended by the aasm since 2006.
