No.: While there are no visible signs, there are common signs on physical examination. Many people have point tenderness in the right lower abdomen. This is often worsened by any motion such as walking, coughing, or pushing down on the opposite side of the abdomen. All of these are consistent with (localized) peritonitis.

No: There are generally no visible signs. The patient usually has pain, sometimes, nausea, fever and as the process continues can vomit. Pain can start by the belly button and settle in the right lower side.
