Depends: Every hospital and surgeon are different. You will definitely need an angiogram to identify any blockages before surgery which is done by your cardiologist. Lab test, crossmatch blood, chest x-rays are usually needed. A lot of times an echo is done. Some like special soaps the night before surgery to reduce infection. Also special ointments in the nose. Then the paperwork like consent forms.
