I have had bloody very loose stools for 4 days. i also just got out of the hospital (chest pain from heart surgery a few months ago). should i be worried?

Concerning: Bloody loose stools may be caused by a C Diff infection which is usually picked up in hospitalized patients, especially if they were given antibiotics. Other causes could be diverticulosis of the colon or other inflammatory bowel disease. Report this to your attending physician ASAP who will order a stool culture and/or refer you to a gastroenterologist for prompt evaluation or go to the ER now.
