What technology can detect blocked coronary arteries?

Cardiac Cath: Still today, the most reliable means of demonstrating "blocked" arteries is cardiac catheterization otherwise known as angiography. Ct scan angiography when done in good hands and experienced centers, is also a reliable test, and if negative, makes it very unlikely that the person has significant disease.

Angiography: Angiography (cardiac catheterization), cardiac ct angiography, or cardiac MRI are all definitive ways to detect coronary artery blockage. Stress tests can also provide valuable physiologic information about possible coronary artery blockage.
