Cardiac Cath: Still today, the most reliable means of demonstrating "blocked" arteries is cardiac catheterization otherwise known as angiography. Ct scan angiography when done in good hands and experienced centers, is also a reliable test, and if negative, makes it very unlikely that the person has significant disease.
