I : I know that it's tempting to wait but that may not be in your best interest. Have it evaluated now to avoid bigger trouble. Also, there is usually a waiting period before you are given benefits and this would put your treatment out even further.

Delaying : Delaying treatment to fix a lost filling can lead to pain and infection. This will occur without warning and never at a convenient time for either you or the dentist. Treatment may require a root canal and / or a surgical procedure which will ultimately cost more. As stated, do not delay care. You may be able to make arrangements with the dental practice for payment.

Don't : Don't wait. New job with new insurance usually has a waiting period. You can get cleanings and xrays, but usually the insurance will make you wait a year or so before you can restore teeth. If you aren't hurting, 2 weeks likely isn't a major deal, but don't wait more than that. Talk to your hr person to find out your insurance limitations.
