The : The typical clinical sign is an itchy scalp. If you look at the scalp closely you might see "nits" (eggs) of the lice, they look like miniature pieces of rice clinging to the hair shafts. If you suspect lice, you, and close family members should be evaluated and, if required, placed on the appropriate medications to eradicate them. Home treatment is rarely effective. You also need to be given instructions on how to clean your home, especially bed sheets, to prevent a recurrence.
