How can i know if my collarbone pain is a separation? i have swelling and one side appears higher.

Without : Without out further information, such as the events surrounding your injury, and a physical exam including radiographs, it is impossible to diagnose a shoulder separation. See an urgent care clinic or emergency department for an assessment.

Injury.: If you had in injury to the shoulder, you could have a separation. Often times you will see that one side appears higher. See an orthopedic shoulder specialist for exact diagnosis.
