Recommend : Recommend an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible so that a full exam, and x-rays as indicated, can be performed. You may have nothing more than stains and calculus (tartar) that can be treated with a professional cleaning or you may have decay that requires removal and repair.

Self : Self help is a good thing but you really need to jump start your program with a professional cleaning and a check up to be sure you don't have any problem that homecare alone cannot fix.
