Depending : Depending upon the size of the chip it may be reshaped by contouring. Contouring will not restore the original shape of the tooth so it is possible that you may require a tooth colored bonded filling to restore the natural contour and function.

Oftentimes, : Oftentimes, if the chip is very small, it can be remove and the tooth recontoured to match with its neighbor. If this can be done, i much prefer this to filling a chip, as a filling become yet another thing to potentially fail in the future.

Chipped tooth: Sometimes a small chip can be reshaped or bonding can be done to replace the broken piece. A dentist can discuss your options with you.

Chip: A small chip at the biting edge of a tooth may be amenable to recontouring or restoration. A chip at the gum end of a tooth may be a stress fracture called an abfraction, and may indicate a bite problem.please see your Dentist.
