Please : Please go see an oral surgeon to have it examined and possibly biopsied. A differential diagnosis for this lesion cannot be done over the internet.

Agreed, : Agreed, you require and examination and possible biopsy to determine the nature of the lesions, especially since you have a history of a cancer. Make an appointment with a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon as soon as possible.

I : I agree with the other two commentors that an oral cavity lesion with a lump in the submental or submandibular region raises questions of a reactive, or possibly malignant lymph node. A biopsy in the office with local anaesthesia is an easy and diagnostically worthwhile procedure for you. The prior history of thyroid cancer is unlikely to be related to the lump under your chin as this is not a typical neck zone for metastatic tumor deposit from thyroid cancer ( typically seen along the internal jugular nodal chain). If you have risk factors for tobacco and alcohol abuse, my concerns would be heightened.
