No: Since strep throat does not cause cough then cough drops won't help. Btw looking at the below tags, group b strep does not cause strep throat, group a strep does.

Interesting question: Of course, strep throat infections don't usually cause cough, so i guess you're asking if cough drops can soothe your throat pain. Sucking on lozenges of any type may temporarily relieve some of these symptoms, but Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen work better for most people. A tablespoon of honey may be helpful, too. Some folks like to gargle with warm salt water, although that always made me sick.
