Adult?: Jaundice (signs&symptoms ) implies a condition of appearing "yellowish" -sclerae, mucous membranes, nail beds, skin -dark urine and very itchy skin usually accompanies the visual signs. Age of the patient+detailed medical history determine choice of supporting lab tests. Eg, . Bilirubin levels, blood type, hepatitis and liver function testing as well gallbladder imaging studies.

Yellow discoloration: This is a discoloration of your skin and the whites of your eyes. It is due to some problem with your liver. There could be many different causes including hepatitis, cancer of the pancreas etcetera.
