Depends: It depends on the underlying cause, how high your bilirubin peaked and when this happend. It can take days to weeks depending if it is an acute or chronic problem based on your underlying liver disease. The good thing is that you are under a care of a doctor so they will have your bilirubin lab trends and should be able to answer your question more accurately.
