If : If you are an adult with a severe overbite you might require jaw surgery along with braces. However, if your teeth are already fairly straight you might be able to get the braces part done with invisalign.

The : The condition you describe may be due to a discrepancy in the size or position of either or both of your jaws. An evaluation by an orthodontist or an oral and maxillofacial surgeon will be able to determine if the condition exists and recommend appropriate treatment to correct the condition.

Malocclusion: If your teeth appear straight but you have a large overbite it means that there is a front-to-back malrelationship. Just because teeth in each jaw look straight doesn't mean that they come together and function properly. Best solution probably orthodontic rx. Why not see an orthodontic specialist for evaluation and rx suggestions, than you can make up your mind based on facts.
