Thoracic : Thoracic back pain is usually caused by pulled muscle, broken thoracic spine bone, disk herniation or arthritis. Rarely this pain can be from the heart or blood vessels and may be associated with shortness of breath and chest pain. If you have these symptoms or the pain is very severe then you should go to the emergency room. Otherwise i would recommend seeing your primary care doctor. Back pain is often improved by rest, anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, steroid injections and sometimes surgery. Good luck!
