If : If you have not had a tetanus shot in the past ten years then it is a good idea to get one. Also monitor the area for signs of infection (pain, redness, pus) and also fever. If any of these things are present seek medical attention. Good luck.

Depends: If your tetanus status is up to date ie last shot within 10 years then you don’t need a tetanus shot. If the last shot was greater than 10 years or if you have never received a tetanus shot before then you need a shot(s).
