Screening ?s: There are depression screening questionnaires you can find on the net. There are multiple different treatments available including diet & behavior modifications, otc herbals and rx medications. If you are concerned you should seek an opinion from your general doctor, or a mental health specialist.

Depends..: Depression is a clinical diagnosis. It is usually diagnosed by a doctor or therapist based on 7 symptoms including changes in appetite, sleep, mood, and energy (among others). It is treated in many different ways but usually with therapy and/or medication. Lifestyle changes often help as well: exercise, diet, socialization, etc.
