Progressive decline: Without treatment, depression can get much worse. It can impact your relationships, your work, your ability to pay your bills, and your entire life. It can make you tired, isolated, and uninterested in the things that used to give you joy. The most dire outcome could be suicide -- which would be a waste of a potentially productive life. Such a loss for you, and for everyone around you.

Depression: If untreated depression can lift on it's own or it may worsen if the causes are not dealt with successfully. Talk openly with friends and family and try to uncover the origin your distress while developing a plan to cope. You need support and objective feedback. Best
