Seek help!: The symptoms you are experiencing are serious and should be addressed. It could be as simple as anxiety or further dehydration but it could be a significant medical problem as well, including thyroid problems. I would consult your doctor.
A 22-year-old female asked:
Dr. Stephen Perret
Child Psychiatry 15 years experience
Consult your doctor: There are many reasons why people's quality and quantity of sleep are affected. These can range from diet and sleep hygiene (that is your sleep health behaviors) to medications and medical conditions. If this is a persistent problem, i would consider consulting a doctor.
A 41-year-old member asked:
Dr. Stephen Perret
Child Psychiatry 15 years experience
Tough to say...: Pediatric bipolar disorder is a somewhat controversial and relatively new diagnosis. Many times people diagnosed with this condition turn out later to have other illnesses. They are often treated with medications like risperdal, seroquel, (quetiapine) lithium, or Depakote which are serious medications that need to be monitored carefully by a physician. I would consult your doctor for more information.
