There : There is a condition called post-coital headache, or coital cephalgia, that can cause pain and other symptoms during and after intercourse. Sometimes medications such as propanolol can be prescribed for this complaint. If a patient is obese then weight reduction and exercise may actually reduce the severity of the symptoms based on some studies. If it is a new symptom, or the patient has other neurological symptoms or severe headache, then they should have a full evaluation by their physician.
