If : If a patient goes without periods for an extended period of time, even if they have irregular periods, then taking a pregnancy test would be appropriate. With the other symptoms described, consulting a physician for an examination would be an appropriate next step, but please do take a pregnancy test to be sure.

Periods: If you have not had a period in months and you are not pregnant, this is likely some type of hormonal issue.
