Swelling : Swelling five days after a tummy tuck is normal; however, if the swelling is increasing and is associated with increasing pain you should call you plastic surgeon and have it checked out.

Swelling : Swelling can occur within reason but should not be excessive. I agree with dr. Petersen that you may not be able to stand up straight because of the tightening of the abdominal wall. You should see your plastic surgeon as soon as possible to be sure. Dr. Edwards.

It : It is normal to feel like your can not stand up straight after an abdominoplasty but it is not normal to have more and more swelling. You need to return to your surgeon right away so he or she can make sure there is nothing wrong. Best wishes dr. Peterson.
