Hemorrhoidal : Hemorrhoidal tissue is engorged blood vessels. They are benign tissue without the risk of developing into cancer. Sometimes a patient has bleeding from the rectum which is assumed to be from hemorrhoids without ruling out a cancer. In your case you have had a colonoscopy before which is a smart idea. However, if they are causing you much grief you might benefit from a procedure for your hemorrhoids to stop the bleeding.

Not usually: Do hemorrhoids cause cancer. However what ever is causing you pain and bleeding may not be hemorrhoids but something else that might have a higher risk of developing into cancer. Best to get a good colon and rectal exam by a GI doctor or colorectal surgeon.
