People : People with classic pcos don't ovulate regularly. Because of that they don't have regular periods. This can also lead to having bleeding at unexpected times more than once in a month. A person who has pcos should probably be on a birth control pill when they are not trying to get pregnant and a fertility pill when they are. Having one unusual month is no big deal, but if this goes on month after month it can lead to serious problems.

Yes, but difficult: Yes you can, but it is more difficult w/pcos and irregular menses. Diet, exercise and weight loss will help. Metformin therapy can help restore normal menses and fertility in many women. Drugs are available to increase fertility and/or lower testosterone if that is elevated. Discuss with your doctor.
