A member asked:

Just diagnosed with pcos. period was regular. had 2 m/c and no period for 4 months. now on provera (medroxyprogesterone) 10mg. when to seek dr. help to get pregnant?

Probably soon: Women with PCOS have an increased chance of miscarriage. We don't know exactly why. Provera will bring on a period, but it won't help you to become pregnant. There are meds such as clomid (clomiphene) that can do help you to ovulate and become pregnant. If you're overweight, losing weight will help. Sometimes metfformin can also be helpful. I would recommend that you see a good OB/GYN doctor.
