Specializes in Orthopedic Spine Surgery

Cervical : Cervical spine surgery is very common and most people do well. Risks and the benefits of surgery depend on your medical risks, specific spinal abnormality (such as cervical spinal stenosis) and the type of surgery that is planned. For your own peace of mind i would recommend calling your doctor and discussing your concerns. Good luck!

See below: Make sure you anesthesiologist is aware of all your problems. It is often helpful to make sure your cardiologist and pulmonary doctor are aware of the surgery so that they can suggest appropriate post-operative care.
