It : It sounds like you have a very complex medical situation with lymphedema, and history of kidney failure from antibiotics. I would advise that you see your doctor immediately if you suspect you have pus (purulence) in a wound. This could be a very serious situation for you. If your doctor cannot see you right away, or if you have redness, discharge, swelling, or fever then you would have to go to the er.

Many choices. : Although there are many possible choices for topical application of dressing product's to help treat infection, it is unlikely that you will achieve much progress without reducing and controlling the swelling as well. This is important because you need to maximize blood flow to the wounded area and it is definitely reduced when there is chronic, significant swelling.
