Typically, if constipated, there will be pain in the left lower abdomen. If you need treatment for your constipation, call your doctor. You can also ask your pharmacist for over the counter remedies. You probably ought to stop the Nexium and call the doctor who prescribed it for an alternate medication. Good luck to you!

Although it is not unusual to have discomfort after suffering from constipation, it is not normal to have tenderness to touch in the abdomen from that constipation. If you feel the Nexium is causing the constipation, you should call the Doctor Who prescribed it. However, you should be seen promptly if your tenderness in your abdomen persists. Good luck.
