You : You really need to see an ophthalmologist, not an od. When one eye is involved, and does not respond within a few days, then it it not a simple infection. It may be blepharitis, it could be a blocked tear duct....And other possibilities. Get a pcp, get the referral, seek proper care!

Steroid : Steroid drops should only be used by an eye doctor who has a specific diagnosis for their use. An infection is not an acceptable indication. They can cause worsening of my eye problems and i would encourage you to seek the care of an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. Until then, tear drops and cold compresses may make your eye feel better.

Steroid : Steroid drops are wrong medicine for an infection! infect, they will do more harm than good. Steroids will decrease the redness and swelling. But it also prevents your body from mounting a defense against the organism that is infecting you. I strongly urge you to seek an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.
