As : As a rule, no. If so, it is typically overnight. It all depends on where and how much fat is transferred.

This : This depends on the extent of fat transfer. For example a small amount to the face will not likely require additional care. However, if extensive fat transfer to the buttocks is performed using multiple donor sites requiring ongoing pain medication, etc, you may benefit from the assistance of a care taker for 7-10 days after surgery.

A day or two: Mostly just for a day or two while the effects of the aneathesia wear off, and your weight and fluid balance.

One day: Perhaps the most extensive fat transfer procedure to one localized area is butt fat transfer surgery. If this procedure is performed without general anesthesia but with tumescent anesthesia and light relaxation the recovery is typically two days and a caretaker is usually needed for only one day. All times are longer with general anesthesia.
