Before : Before getting an mri, it may be worthwhile for you to see a neurologist first. The weakness and twitching are concerning and should be looked into sooner rather than later. A neurologist specializes in these kinds of problems and will be able to take a thorough history and physical and will be able to recommend any further studies if they are needed. Depending on your history and exam, there may be other tests that are more helpful than an mri. Good luck!

Be Sure of Diagnosis: Steroids are not the treatment for restless leg. You must be sure of the diagnosis. Once an accurate diagnosis has been established, the treatment is to r/o underlying causes such as venous insufficiency and various vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Then use appropriate conservative measures, not steroids.
