Only 2wks so OK: Prednisone 20mg is not a high dose at all and only using for 2 wks, weaning is not necessary. You are 21 yr old and presumably have no other health issue, i would be very surprised if you feel anything at all from stopping the Prednisone at this stage. I wish you a speedy recovery from the mono (aka kissing disease)..Best of luck to you.
