Hello. : Hello. That ringing in your left ear is likely to be something that is called tinnitus. It could be occurring if you hit your head hard or it may be associated with your seizure issue. Because that is a change for you, i recommend that you tell your doctor. The doctor can look into this further and see if anything can be done to help with the ringing.

The : The most important issue is why you had a seizure. Have you had seizures before, or was this the first time? Did you fall and hit your head and then had a seizure, or did you start to have the seizure standing up and that made you fall? The history is important, and so is what workup was done when you were at the er. You should have had a ct scan at a minimum to check for an acute subdural hematoma from hitting your head, and after that you should have had an MRI if this was your first-ever seizure, as new seizures in adults are assumed to be due to brain tumors until shown otherwise. If you have not had these evaluations you should see a physician and ask for them. Also you should likely be on anti-seizure medication as a precaution until it is clear whether this is a chronic problem--epilepsy--or just a single seizure not likely to happen again. You should not drive or operate dangerous equipment until this is established. Your physician, in addition to the mri, should get you a neurological consultation and an eeg.
