Depends on severity: The rate of resolution of the swelling will depend on the severity and location of where he hit his face. More importantly, the fact that he had a seizure, fell, and hit his face should prompt an immediate evaluation in the ER. If he has a known seizure disorder, then he should see his neurologist to get his seizures under better control. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003200.htm

Suggestion: The swelling may recede over 3 or 4 days, but the bigger issue is future risk of harm from seizure activity. He needs to be taking effective anti-epileptic drugs, and should not be driving, using power equipment, or activity at heights. The risks are high for both him and others. His doctor needs to get involved, and facial X-rays may be needed.
