Based : Based on your complaints and the past history of a + ANA test (a screening test for lupus and other autoimmune disorders), i feel the best route would be to have another evaluation by a rheumatologist to include an exam and repeat bloodwork. Just because the +ana was not felt to be significant at one time does not mean that a new disorder has not developed since 2007. Fibromyalgia can be primary (meaning no underlying inflammatory condition) or secondary (meaning it is seen frequently in patients w/ rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and similar disorders. I definitely recommend a repeat evaluation. Hope this is helpful.

About : About 10 to 15 % of the population might have a positive ANA , and medications such as antihypertensives , anticonvulsivants and many other might be responsible fror a positive ana. You dont seem to have symptoms that suggest the presence of an autoinmune or an antiinflammatory rheumatic disease, so with out symptoms the presence of a positive ANA is not to helpfull. Usually , three cold a year might be the average , and you describe 10, you should have that studied, recurrent sinusitis and other upper respitratory conditions should be rulled out . The itchy spot should be evaluated by a dermatologist , so a diagnosis and the propper treatment is given.
