I : I am aware that some women insert garlic cloves in their vagina to cure yeast infections that are not too far advanced. I am not able to comment on either the safety or the efficacy of this practice. However, my understanding is that the clove (especially if sliced open) can sometimes burn the mucosa (skin in the vagina); especially if the mucosa is already raw from a yeast infection.
